CONCEPT DESIGN The Ellington Hotel & Condominiums The project concept was to design a new 20 story building in the heart of downtown Asheville which would be LEED certified and incorporate Asheville’s physical aesthetics of its Art Deco character. The project was commissioned by the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, which has been called the Santa Fe of the East. The building concept presented by DiGuiseppe called for 45 Condos on top and 125 Hotel rooms on the lower level, with an outdoor pool, restaurant and bar on the 10th floor setback.
